Good mowing practices are the best way of ensuring a lush & healthy lawn. Cutting at the correct height encourages healthy roots, helps conserve water during dry periods and discourages weeds.

Cutting the lawn too short or scalping can encourage lawn diseases, moss and weed growth.

Never cut your lawn less than 25mm (1"). The grass should ideally be left at between 1"-2", depending on weather conditions. Try not to cut more than one third of the height of the grass in one go.

Choose the correct lawnmower for your lawn. There are many different types of machinery available. Speak to our sales department for expert advice, they are here to help.

Ensure your machine is serviced regularly - A good clean cut requires sharp blades, otherwise the tips of the grass get damaged and go brown. Keep the machine clean - once the lawn has been cut remove grass clipping from around the machine and blade.

If using a petrol machine, dont fill the tank while on the lawn as spilt fuel will scorch the grass.
