The essential tools for your garden

As spring is drawing closer with each day, now is the best time to think about your new garden weather you need to improve it or maintain it, in this blog we will be telling you the “must have tools” ... if any of these points apply to you please continue reading.

It is said that the basic tools that you must have before starting any project in the garden are:

  • Spade
  • Fork
  • Rake
  • Hoe
  • Hand Trowl
  • Hand fork
  • And a decent pair of secateurs

Beyond the basics

Many professional gardeners have the same tools but in different sizes, with the different sizes means that different tools are meant to be used for different things in the garden.

The mistake when getting tools

The most common mistake is that people will purchase the cheapest tools, because there cheap. But that is simply not the case if you want your tools to last.

Poor quality tools

Paint is a big give away as it’s easy to paint covers up all that cheap wood and metal. Though-out time the paint will start to flake away and the metal beneath will rust. If the wood and metal is cheap, the tools are more likely to bend or break. So if you see any tools that are flaking in the store steer clear of buying them.

As its the start of the new yet it’s time to chuck out your old bent forks and the battered trowels, and get yourself a set of garden tools that are made to last which will in doubt will make your life easy.
